Bankole Ajibabi Omotoso, also known as Kole Omotoso, was a Nigerian writer and intellectual. His written work is known for its dedication and commitment to fusing a socio-political reappraisal of Africa and respect for human dignity into most of his works.


He was a brilliant writer and thinker a staunch supporter of the Bookfair and one of New Beacon Books’ authors 'Theatrical Into theatre" May he rest in eternal peace. Michael La Rose.

Kole is a huge loss to our movement and to the world of literature and of ideas. His work is very widely used, especially across Africa and its diaspora, but deserves to be as widely known and celebrated as that of Wole Soyinka and Stuart Hall. Prof. Gus John
