The story is set in small towns near the capital city of Port-of-Spain in th early nineteen sixties just after the independence of 1962. Carnival is the main theme.

Rolley Chameleon was born on a Carnival day and from birth, was possessed by Carnival. Supported by his parents, he began taking part in the Children’s or Kiddies Carnival Competition. From then on he lived and dreamed of becoming a master Carnival mas’ man.
